Probation services – organisational delivery

Organisational delivery

There are a range of organisational models and frameworks, covering how well organisations are led, managed and set up. These models build upon the evidence on which organisational-level inputs support key activities and ultimately contribute to positive outcomes (applying a logic model approach: inputs → activities → outputs → outcomes → impact).

Building upon these models and applying our learning from previous inspection programmes, we examine four aspects of organisational delivery when inspecting probation services.

The image of a diagram representing the four aspects of organisational delivery when inspecting probation services.

It has four green boxes surrounding a central box labelled "Organisational inputs."

The four surrounding boxes are labelled: "Leadership", "Staff", "Services" and "Information and facilities".

Each box has an icon representing its label.
