HM Inspectorate of Probation has undertaken a review of public protection measures across the South West region of the Probation Service.  

Barking & Dagenham Youth Justice Service (YJS) has received an overall rating of ‘Good’ following an inspection of work with children and victims by His Majesty’s Inspectorate of Probation. 

A new report from the Public Accounts Committee (PAC) has warned the Probation Service in England and Wales is being placed under significant strain, seriously impeding its ability to protect the public and reduce reoffending rates. 

HM Inspectorate of Probation has undertaken a review of public protection measures [see notes to editor] across the Kent, Surrey, and Sussex region of the Probation Service. Concerningly, it found work to keep people safe had improved since our last inspection, but still met the required standard in less than half of cases for ‘assessment’ and ‘implementation and delivery’.

Ascot House Approved Premises (AP) in Stockport has received an overall rating of ‘Requires improvement’ following an inspection by His Majesty’s Inspectorate of Probation.

Hounslow Youth Justice Service (YJS) has received an overall rating of ‘Requires improvement’ following an inspection of work with children and victims by His Majesty’s Inspectorate of Probation.

Warwickshire Youth Justice Service (YJS) has received an overall rating of ‘Good’ following an inspection of work with children and victims by His Majesty’s Inspectorate of Probation.
