Effective practice guide: Adult effective case supervision

Published:

Year:

Open document

This guide provides an overview of case supervision in context, what effective supervision looks like and the research which underpins this.

Using the ASPIRE model we examine engagement, desistance and keeping people safe, offering an introduction to the concept, a summary of the evidence, what inspections tell us and what people who were subject to probation tell us about the area. Finally, we provide a case summary, inspector’s comments and take-away learning for each area.

This guide was originally uploaded as a digital handbook in December 2020. It has since been reformatted, but contains the original content.
