Effective practice guide: Electronic monitoring delivered well

Published:
Subject:
Thematic
Year:
2022
Open document

This guide provides an overview of the sentence and requirement types that can have electronic monitoring applied, with details of which technology can be used.

The guide then explores electronic monitoring in practice through cases studies and reflective questions, and offers key takeaways for practitioners. We conclude by highlighting factors in managing electronic monitoring sentences which meet our standards.

This guide is based on our thematic inspection of the use of electronic monitoring as a tool for the Probation Service in reducing reoffending and managing risk (2022).
